Designed as a high quality, business grade IP phone, the SoundPoint IP 601 offers full-duplex hands free operation with superb audio clarity as a result of Polycom's legendary Acoustic Clarify Technology. This IP phone also supports 3 way conferencing managed by the phone - without the need for conferencing support on your VoIP server.
The Polycom SoundPoint IP 601 telephone has built in power over Ethernet (PoE) support (Cisco and IEEE 802.3af) meaning you have one less cable running onto your desk, and one less device plugged into your power board. The main benefit however comes from the phone being supported by a UPS on your network. If you do not have a PoE based network, the SoundPoint IP 601 still comes with a traditional AC adapter to supply power. The dual 10/100 Ethernet ports allow you to connect your PC directly to the phone - allowing a single Ethernet connection from your switch/router to service both your phone and your computer.
