The Grandstream HandyTone 486 is an all-in-one product incorporating a number of advanced features including built-in router, NAT/DHCP server and telephone port. Grandstream HandyTone 486 - top viewThe HandyTone 486 has all the features of the HandyTone 286 model single-port VoIP analogue telephone adapter. The unit is very compact and thus suitable for people on the move. One of the unique features of this unit is its ability to failover to PSTN on a power or network outage. Additionally, calls coming in on the connected landline will ring the attached phone, and at any time, you can place an outgoing call on the landline rather than your VoIP account simply by prefixing the call with a special code.
With the built in router, you no longer have to have a spare Ethernet port for our VoIP adapter - you can share the one port between your ATA and your computer by daisy chaining the HandyTone 486 with your PC. This means that if you do not have a router, but only have a single port ADSL or cable modem, then this unit is for you!
